Safety Officer (Construction)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: To be negotiated
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (3 vacancies)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals Certification
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Inspection and Investigation: Workplace, Work related accidents
Work Setting: Manufacturing and industrial plant
Specific Skills: Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards, Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses
Additional Skills: Provide information to employers, employees and general public
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
