Senior Production Specialist

Key Accountabilities:
- Leading the execution of the project/development portion of the two-month Mine Plan through direct leadership to the required Mine Supervisors as it relates to the Daily Operational Plan
- Prioritizing project execution while balancing the availability of equipment/ manpower and planned timeframes/budgets
- Ongoing communication with the Superintendent of Construction and the Superintendent of Coke and Drainage, who will manage the assets such that they are fully aware of key issues and paths forward
- Providing feedback to Planning and Design groups so developing issues are captured and rework undertaken and the plan optimized for the next cycle
- Ongoing communication with overburden and oilsands leads to ensure team/group goals are met
- Mentoring junior/less experienced members of group
Qualification Requirements:
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work and be a key contributor in a dynamic team environment
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with mine planning software
- Good task management and reporting skills
- Bachelor of Science in Mining, Civil or Geological Engineering or Mine Technical Diploma
- Registered or eligible for registration for Professional or Technical Designation (APEGGA, ASET)
- 5+ years of open-pit mine planning experience, 1+ years of mine operations supervisory experience, oilsands experience an asset
- Must have a valid drivers license
