Senior Civil Engineer
Description:
Design Group Staffing is currently recruiting for Sr. Civil Engineer for a division of our world class EPC client.
Anticipated Start Date: November 2009
Contract length: 12 Months with potential for a staff position.
Work Location: Edmonton - with travel to Ft. McMurray as required.
To be eligible for consideration you must meet the following MINIMUM qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Mining Engineering
- 10-15+ years of related experience in Industrial, Mining or Commercial Engineering.
- Experience in leadership roles within EPC environment
- Experience in industrial civil earthworks such as retaining walls, embankments, dams and dykes within an EPC environment
- Demonstrated superior leadership interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta
Position Responsibilities:
Project work will be for a major oilsands operation/facility.
Design or lead the design of large earthworks projects that will include foundations, embankments, and water diversions such as mine dewatering systems, dams, dykes, culverts, surface and storm water management systems, pipeline corridors and haul roads.
Assist Department Head to manage and complete department administrative functions as necessary
