Risk Based Inspection Analyst

Position:
The Risk Based Inspection Analyst will be reporting to the QA Manager in the Upgrading department.
Key Accountabilities:
- Compliance with [Company]’s QA-IMS, engineering standards and regulatory bodies. Compliance with [Company] Safety Standards and procedures.
- Update, maintain, and sustain the RBI data base regarding inspection reports, non conformance reports, leak containment devices, inspection deferrals, positive material identification results, loading CMLs data, necessary for calculating corrosion rate and remaining life of pressure equipment and atmospheric storage tanks.
- Maximizing the area equipment reliability and availability by ensuring that all predictive and preventive maintenance plans and strategies based on RBI are in place on a timely fashion.
- Managing the implementation of RBI studies for existing units or plants as required.
- Preparing and submitting the work scope necessary for planning and scheduling the “on-line” inspection and evaluation of CMLs on a timely fashion and within budgetary cycles.
- Working with Reliability Engineering to lead, direct, or perform risk based analysis of equipment in Upgrading business unit as required.
- Working with Materials Engineering to ensure that proper identification and classification of various types of degradation mechanisms, corrosion rates, and severity are used in the RBI analysis.
Qualification Requirements:
- The successful candidates will have a Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Professional Engineering Status.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, preferably in oil refining/upgrading.
- One year of proven experience in the reliability and mechanical integrity of pressure equipment and atmospheric storage tanks through the use of RBI.
- Experience in “On-line” inspection and evaluation of CMLs using the RBMI system will be considered a plus.
