Thermal Spray Technician
[Company], a wholly owned subsidiary of the [Company], is seeking experienced candidates to fill a Thermal Spray Technician position.
[Company] has a strong thermal spray business providing our Oil and Gas, Mining and Oil Sands customers with solutions to their wear and corrosion resistant coating needs. [Company] has Plasma, HVOF and wire arc systems and a large variety of coating alloys that allow us to customize coatings with the precise characteristics required by our customers. For example our HVOF system allows the application of coatings that are very low in porosity and very high in bond strength.
The Successful Candidate:
- Should have 10+ years of thermal spray experience
- Experience on a variety of thermal spray systems is preferred, including HVOF
- Forklift, crane, rigging, and WHIMIS training is preferred
- High school diploma required
- Trade or Technical degree preferred
Job duties will include the following:
- Read and interpret drawings
- Pre-inspect parts
- Masking and thermal spraying of parts
- Post-inspecting parts and filling out applicable quality control documentation
- Notify supervisor of all deviations in quality, safety, and equipment
