Senior Industrial Hygienist

Position Outline:
The Senior Industrial Hygienist will oversee the activities of the Industrial Hygiene team and will schedule and conduct identified industrial hygiene monitoring projects for assigned areas of responsibility.
Key Accountabilities:
In this role, the Senior Industrial Hygienist will be accountable to:
- Recommend control measures to protect workers from health hazards
- Report monitoring results to management
- Prepare and conduct risk communication sessions with employees
- Maintain and calibrate industrial hygiene monitoring equipment
Qualification Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a science discipline with several years of experience in Industrial Hygiene. Preference will be given to those with a Masters degree in Industrial Hygiene, and/or a CIH (or equivalent) professional designation. Supervisory experience is also preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills including an ability to quickly assemble relevant information from raw data
- Experience in industrial hygiene monitoring methods (including: noise, particulates, ventilation, asbestos, chemicals, ergonomics and lighting)
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and technical writing skills
