Job Description
Reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager Production Reporting, the key responsibilities for the student may include knowledge and competencies in several areas within Application support including:
- Analytical trouble shooting, prioritization and support of application related issues
- Effective utilization of the [Company] Change Management process
- Interaction with multiple levels within the [Company] organization including co-workers, management and clients to ensure effective communication
- Adherence to [Company] Business and IT standards, policies, and procedures
- Perform on-call duties within the application support team
Qualification Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an Information Technology related program and be available for a 12 - 16 month work term beginning in January 2010
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS (Windows 2000 and Windows XP), Office products (Access, Word and Excel), Corel Draw, Visual Basic, VBA programming, ASP, and of communication infrastructure (Ethernet and Serial)
- Good communication, analytical, and decision making skills are required
