Position Outline
The Environmental Affairs Co-op Student will form part of a team of professionals providing environmental support for operations. Beginning in January 2009, the successful candidate will be engaged in a variety of projects, including:
  • Working with business units to ensure environmental compliance;
  • Developing communication letters regarding incident follow-up;
  • Assisting with field inspections & visits, and;
  • Collaborating on environmental projects, such as, water testing & design.
Qualification Requirements
  • Qualified candidates will be senior level students in a Science or Engineering degree program
  • Prior industry experience is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Motivated, self starter who can work well independently or within a team environment
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and other MS office applications
