Second-Class Power Engineer
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: To be negotiated, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Power Engineering Trade Certification, Stationary Engineer 2nd Class
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Utilities Company, Petrochemical industry, Pulp and paper industry, Electric power generation plants
Type of Equipment: Computerized control systems, Low pressure boilers, High pressure boilers, Pumps, Turbines, Diesel generators, Compressors, Motors, Distributed control systems (DCS)
Specific Skills: Operate automated or computerized control systems, Monitor and inspect plant equipment, Measure temperature, fuel flow and pressure, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction, Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components, Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities, Write plant or building operation reports, Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures, Use computerized Building Automation System, Use computerized Preventive Maintenance System
Other Information: 2nd class Power Engineer Interprovincial license with SAGD or cogeneration plant or Oil and gas experience .pay is open relocation package available Rotation shift.
