Inventory Analyst
MAJOR PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the warehouse functions relating to material control, inspection, and shipping and receiving as well as the strategic inventory analysis for the various departments of [Company].
 
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts and equipment to various Bucyrus Canada locations.
  • Coordinate inventory of parts, equipment and scheduling.
  • Set up new parts and equipment requisitions in data system with appropriate coding.
  • Track and inventory stock levels within Bucyrus.
  • Creating and outsourcing parts and equipment requirements.
  • Maintain detailed inventory of parts and equipment throughout various Bucyrus Canada locations.
  • Track and reconcile internal item changes and sales orders.
  • Control inventory to meet divisional availability and cost objectives
  • Provide back-up to warehouse shipping and receiving
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments and customers.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts and requirements.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, techniques and tools.
  • Compile, analyze, and provide recommendations on inventory levels and optimization.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ability to multi task, with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A high attention to detail is essential.
 
REQUIREMENTS
 
EDUCATION
Post secondary education in a related field, or an acceptable level of experience may be accepted.
 
TECHNICAL
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as under supervision.
  • Must be willing to accept responsibility and to show good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Must have numerical data entry experience
 
TYPE AND LENGTH OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a comparable role.
