Leak Seal Technician
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
[Company], in Fort McMurray is currently seeking responsible individuals wanting career opportunities. We are looking for entry level technicians to work in our Leak Repair division. There are advancement opportunities for those who excel in their proven abilities and self motivation to complete the required training.
This position involves working with line freezing, hot tapping, leak sealing and repairs and corrosion protection. Your duties will be diversified and vary based on the projects and job sites.
Required Minimum Qualification:
- Comfortable with heights, confined spaces and wearing supplied air
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work over time, on call, and weekends
- Flexible schedule and able to work day or night shifts, some travel may also be required
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
- Self-motivated
- Heavy lifting required
- Possess a class 5 license
- Pre-employment drug & alcohol test is required
Ideal Candidate:
- Ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
- Will adapt and work effectively within a variety of situations and with various groups and individuals
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- You demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to health and safety
- Prior experience with a related trade, millwright work, process operating or familiarity of leak sealing is a definite asset
