Syncrude 's Mine Operation department is seeking a qualified individual to join their team in the role of Shovel Production Coordinator to join their team.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Review and validate clarity of work requests
- Work with Maintenance to build plans that minimize equipment downtime and maximize safe/efficient/effective use of resources
- Initiate the interface between maintenance and other business areas to develop an integrated plan
- Utilize planner complexity guidelines to determine the extent of detailed planning required
- Recycle major changes and deviations from the plan
- Responsible for global reliability systems planning related measures
- Facilitate planning meetings as required
- Initiate the review of plan performance for continuous improvement of the planning process
- Acquisitions of all types, generating reports (daily, weekly, & monthly), tracking availability and downtime, bucket hardware usage, rope hours, and operator logs
- Planning and prioritizing power cable work routing, relocation and repairs
- Input to maintenance schedule and communicating service and outage requirements to shift organization
- Monthly yard inspections
- Budget support in the form of tracking capital dollars spent in two small tool cost centers
Qualifications
- Two years planning process experience
- Coordinator experience in a multi-discipline working environment
- Technical background and/or diploma would be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Company's computerized planning systems and software
- Understanding of and stewards all the key processes that support operation to Maintenance
- Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations
- Credibility to set high standards and promote continuous improvement for the shovel fleet at Aurora Operations
- Planning aptitude - the ability to optimize work whether it be break-in work or scheduled outage for shovels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer services, confidentiality and ethical behavior
- Teamwork skills and behaviors, which support team based behaviors
