Intermediate/Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description:
Design Group Staffing is currently recruiting for Sr. Civil Engineer for our EPC client.
Anticipated Start Date: July 2009
Contract length: 12 Months with potential for a staff position.
Work Location: Edmonton
Position Responsibilities:
- The project work will be for a major oilsands operation/facility.
- Civil engineers will engineer civil earthworks/hydraulic structures, pipelines, hydrology and undergrounds primarily for the mining and tailing operations for all phases of project work
- Coordianation of project discipline team
- Client/customer service
- Conducting site visits,
- Coorindate/Collaborate with other project disciplines
- Preparing specifications,
- Performing calculations
- Mentoring junior staff members.
To qualify for consideration you will have:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- 10-15+ years of experience in civil work for major petrochemical/industrial projects
- MUST have current registration as a professional engineer in Alberta via APEGGA.
