Dredging & Dewatering Operators
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
[Company]-REACTOR LTD., is now seeking self-motivated and reliable operators for our dredging division. As one of [Company]'s dredging operators you will work with a fleet of modern and versatile equipment, designed to enhance removal and transfer of liquid or solid sludge as well as highly compacted underwater materials. Your training and equipment are continually modified and developed to address various environmental and safety concerns. As part of our dredging and dewatering group, you will consult on everything from project inception and design to equipment rentals and complete turnkey project management and execution.
Required Minimum Qualification:
- Mechanically inclined
- Flexible schedule and able to work day or night shifts, some travel may also be required
- Required to be on call on a regular basis
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
- Self-motivated
- Physically able to handle job requirements
- Comfortable with heights, confined spaces and supplied air
- Mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol test
- Valid class 5 license with a clean and current drivers abstract
Ideal Candidate:
- Prior experience with pumps or centrifuge systems
- Any dredging or dewatering related experience is a definite asset
- Equipped with hazardous materials training
- Ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- You demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to health and safety
- Training of certification with a technical trade
