Vacuum Truck Operators
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
[Company] is looking for 6 - 10 reliable, career oriented Vacuum Truck Operators. Located on the Suncor site in Fort McMurray, you will be responsible for the hands on operation and maintenance of our wet and or dry vacuum units and specialty equipment.
Your duties will also include:
- Operation and maintenance of our wet and or dry vacuum units and other specialty tools
- Acting as a liaison with clients to ensure that equipment is set up according to company policies and procedures
- Guaranteeing job requirements are met and that company policies and procedures are enforced on the job site
- Ensuring that all equipment and material are returned to the proper areas in the unit and or truck daily
- Fueling and washing of unit at end of shift
Required Minimum Qualification:
- Position involves working 8-12 hours per day on a 5 on 4 off, 4 on 5 off shift schedule
- Overtime and flexibility in shifts is required based on site needs (occasional night shifts)
- Possess a valid class 1 or 3 license
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
- Mechanically inclined
- Comfortable with confined spaces and heights
- Self-motivated
- Heavy lifting required
- Pre-employment drug & alcohol test required
- Produce a clean and current drivers abstract
