Area Representative
 
Description
We have an opening for a Area Representative in Bonnyville.  The SAG D opportunities are dynamic and growing. The Bonnyville SAG D business currently has four significant oil companies in the business with at least three more additional companies getting into the market.  The industry requires more sources for chemical solutions; the opportunity is very real and has significant future growth potential. You will have the opportunity to develop new SAGD business, and manage established cold production accounts with potential for growth in sales along with an excellent opportunity to learn all facets of oil and gas production.  The candidate will work closely with Bonnyville and District 96 personnel.
 
In addition, you will be required to attend customer meetings as technical support, develop project action plans based on customer needs, determine information requirements, type of performance testing, interpret results, and prepare recommendations. 
 
THE INDIVIDUAL:
The position requires a self-motivated, organized, assertive team player who enjoys a challenge. Strong people skills are essential to this role.  Knowledge of Champion’s product lines and processes is a definite asset. This position requires the individual to travel approximately 15 – 20% of their time.
 
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
  • Conduct market assessments, develop relationships and gain Business in the SAGD market
  • Work closely with the Business Development Team
  • Manage chemical programs and field applications
  • Interface with a wide range of operational personnel
  • Resolve chemical and system problems
  • Reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for our customer’s chemical programs
  • Continually add value to both our customers’ and Champion’s operations
  • Product lines used for treating the various gas, oil, and water systems in the area include corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, foamers, demulsifiers, defoamers, paraffin solvents, paraffin dispersants, and H2S scavengers.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in sales
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
  • Boiler Feed Water and Water Reuse experience
  • Background in Oil and Gas treating preferred
  • Technical competence and ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong written/oral communication skills and strong organizational/time management skills
  • Knowledge of Safety programs and a personal history of safe practice
  • Proven computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
