[Company] is Canada’s newest major oilsands development and the first to integrate in-situ Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) technology with onsite upgrading on a large scale. With input capacity of 70,000 barrels per day of bitumen, [Company] is the largest SAGD facility in the world. The facility also employs a unique and proprietary upgrading solution that results in production of a Premium Synthetic Crude (PSCTM) oil that is superior to any other produced from the Canadian oilsands at a distinct cost advantage over other operations.
[Company] is located approximately 40 km southeast of Fort McMurray, in the Athabasca oilsands of northeastern Alberta. The lease is estimated to hold approximately six billion barrels of bitumen. As operator, [Company] is currently focused on ramping up production to reach an output capacity of 60,000 barrels per day of PSCTM.

Position Overview
Ensure the integrity of all technical documentation through interactions with all levels of the organization and Liaising with Calgary Office, outside consulting companies and Fluor.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Update and maintain all technical documentation for the [Company] Site.
- Update and maintain Electronic Document Management system and documentation library.
- Provide drafting support to all disciplines using AutoCAD 2007 and Microstation V8
- Maintain electronic filing system for all technical documentation
- Support operations, maintenance and engineering personnel to locate and maintain technical information including drawings and other documents
- Drafting support for plant modifications and capital projects
- Back drafting of as-built drawings from construction mark-ups
- Assist in the updating of the Smart Plant instrumentation database
- Management of vendor documentation
- Contribute to the development and on-going refinement of drafting and document management standards and procedures
Education/Experience
- Technologist diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting or equivalent training and experience
- 5-8 year s multidisciplinary computer aided drafting in an industrial plant environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation, as well as Engineering Document Management Systems
- Some knowledge of mechanical and electrical codes and standards is required
