With strong leadership, a direct manager that fosters a team approach and great colleagues on the Sales Team, you will enjoy coming to work every day. This is a senior, prominent and important role. Your efforts will have direct impact on the Western Canadian operations. You will have great support, for research, quote generation, project management, presentation development as well as access to the engineering team. You will also be plugged into the growing, venerable global parent company for further technical support and career development.
 
Your duties as the BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER will include:
  • Research Oil & Gas, Mining and other industrial projects, networking with EPCs, review internet postings, requests and internal leads
  • Position the company to be specified or position to be on the bid lists
  • Determine what resources are required to capitalize on the opportunity working within a budget to maximize project profits.
  • Build strong relationships at the EPCs and end users
  • Marketing strategically and gather industry information to be positioned on the leading edge of long decision/sales cycles
  • Negotiate complex contracts
  • Supporting and driving project management
 
As the successful candidate you will have developed following qualifications:
  • A minimum 10 years proven track record of professionally selling rotating equipment or selling the servicing and repair of rotating equipment.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma
  • Demonstrated ability to Project Management
  • Strong experience with Supply Chain and/or Asset Management
  • Great contacts in the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
 
This is a senior role and you should expect a base salary of $100,000-$145,000, commensurate with experience, and a performance bonus structure that will add an additional 20%. They offer a great benefit package that is comprehensive and generous. Also, a vehicle allowance and expense coverage will be offered.
