Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Professional Engineer Certification (P. Eng.), Construction Trade Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, WHMIS, Driver's License, Gold Seal membership in the Canadian Construction Association
Experience: No experience
- Languages: Speak English, Speak French, Read English, Read French, Write English, Write French
- Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial construction, Pipeline construction (large diameter)
- Human Resources Responsibility: 21 - 50
- Budgetary Responsibility: $4,000,001 - $8,000,000
- Specific Skills: Plan, organize, direct and control daily operations, Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates, Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress, Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements, Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control, Select trade subcontractors and co-ordinate their activities, Oversee analysis of data and information, Plan and manage budgets, Develop and implement quality control programs, Prepare reports
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Airport security clearance, Driver's validity license check, Eligible for professional liability insurance
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Large caseload
