Procurement Director
The position can be a long term contract a permanent staff position and involves work on multi-year projects. Mining experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the Project Procurement Department which undertakes all procurement and contracting required to execute the project. This includes purchasing, expediting, logistics and traffic, material control, subcontracting, quality surveillance and warehousing
- Establishing Project Procurement and Contract Procedures and Processes using ISO approved Procurement and Contracting Procedures. If the client has procedures and processes, the Project Procurement Manager or Lead will integrate client requirements into ISO approved procedures.
- Ensuring the timely execution of all procurement, contracting and materials control activities including staff management, budgeting, scheduling, and integrating home office and site activities
- Working with multiple business unit leadership teams to identify and attain strategic objectives
- Providing senior level support in the development of project execution plans, budgets, and proposals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- 30 years of experience in Procurement
- Proven experience interfacing with all engineering disciplines, procurement disciplines, contract disciplines, material control disciplines, fabricators and field disciplines
- Proven procurement/contracts experience in an engineering, procurement and project/construction management environment
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of staff, clients and management
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
