Upgrader Project Process Engineer DHT / MHC / SRU / SMR Units
Job description
We have big expansion plans for our Alberta operations. Along with big plans, comes big opportunity. You will play a crucial role in achieving our goal of becoming a leading producer in the Alberta oilsands.
ACTIVITIES
Process engineer will be the counterpart of the engineering process team for the DHT,MHC,SRU,SMR units and will participate in the following activities during the several engineering phases (Pre FEED, FEED and EPC) :
- Process design basis
- Technology and licensor selection
- Licensor Process Design Package follow up with missions at the licensor’s office if required
- Mass balance energy and utilities balance optimization
- Integration of the unit in the overall upgrader’s scheme
- PFD review
- Equipment datasheet review
- PID review
- Relief study, authority engineering, risk assessment study
- Mechanical review,
- Metallurgy review
- Instrumentation and electrical engineering.
- Operating manual and procedures
For these activities the process engineer would be in relation with experts from the engineering company but also with Licensors, manufacturers and Total’s expert.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
For the corresponding units, responsible for:
- Supervision of the engineering/licensors activities in term of scope definition, execution, technical choices, planning …
- Collecting / sharing of information and feedback from the engineering, project team and Total experts.
- Represent Total and responsible for the “good“ design and integration of the corresponding units.
Education :
- Chemical engineering background
Experience :
- Several years experience as process engineer in refinery is required
- Experience of project (major revamp or grass root unit)
Skills :
- Communication skills, team spirit
- English fluent.
