Project Schedule Engineer
Job description

ACTIVITIES
- Preparation of Project ‘base’ schedule in line with FEED, LLI’s delivery and future EPC Contracts basis.
- Direct contact with Contractors’ scheduling team to ensure correct transfer of information (both ways).
- Ensuring Contractors’ scheduling team follow the approved Work Breakdown Structure.
- Monitoring all activities relevant to Project schedule on continuous basis (daily / weekly / monthly).
- Monitoring Contractors’ actual manpower figures versus Project schedule.
- Follow closely:
- Issuance of engineering documentation with respect to schedule targets and milestones.
- Delivery of LLI.
- Elaborating, updating, or revising project schedules in agreement with Project Management.
- Checking and commenting Contractors’ procedures, and Contractors’ schedules.
- Participate in elaborating, revising and updating Project scheduling procedures and documents.
- Contractors’ scheduling methodology analysis and control.
- Checking and approving Contractors’ progress measurement reports and routinely audit their figures.
- Ensuring Contractors’ reports are accurate and challenge / critique any ambiguous or ‘grey’ areas.
- Consolidation of scheduling information for analysis or reporting.
- Prepare the physical progress and schedule part of the monthly report.
- Prepare Monthly Critical Path report including elaboration.
- Organizing (and/or attend) all necessary meetings related to scheduling activities.
- Analyzing and performing simulations of new schedules, including “what-if” scenarios.
- Participation in Progress / Scheduling audits.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable for providing reliable scheduling and planning support for the Project Management and Project Team.
- Ensure this support is effective and efficient, with pro-active suggestions and actions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate planning and progress reporting documentation.
Education :
- Diploma or Degree in related field.
Experience :
- 10 years of engineering and construction experience in oil and gas project
Skills :
- Self-starter attitude, and the ability to work well with little supervision and strong ownership of the work
- Strong computer proficiency in Primavera and Windows environment using MS Office, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Good written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Team member.
