Emergency Response Supervisor
Description:
Our Fort McMurray client is look for an Emergency Response Supervisor for their oil sands operation.
Relocation to Fort McMurray is required for this position.
The position will be a staff position on an integrated health, safety and environment team supporting the Upgrader and SAGD facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation strategies associated with emergency management plans (relating to fire and other emergencies)
- You will have extensive working knowledge of modern fire suppression and prevention principles
- You will have the ability to provide work direction and supervise a team of 24 / 7 shift Fire and Safety Technicians
- Responsible for planning and coordination of various types of emergency programs
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced, formal education in the area of fire safety and prevention, safety codes and NFPA codes or equivalent
- You have knowledge of advanced investigative principles, fire terminology, fire growth and development preferably in an industrial setting
- CEM (Certified Emergency Manager) education is an asset
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A) highly desirable
- Experienced in supervising shift employees (Fire Safety Technicians)
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience
- Experience in large scale project support pre-commissioning and commissioning of plant would be desirable
