Our Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Department has permanent positions for experienced mechanical maintenance engineers within the Upgrading, Utilities and Extraction areas at our facility near Fort McMurray Alberta.
 
As part of our organization you will work in the Maintenance organization that provides daily support to the operating units.
 
Responsibilities include troubleshooting and optimizing the operating facility, identification of reliability improvements, root cause failure analysis, providing equipment fitness for service assessments, providing engineering support for unit turn-around and preparation of mechanical engineering packages. The successful candidate will also mentor junior engineers. 
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA)
  • Minimum of three years of engineering experience.
 
Other qualifications that would be an asset for this position are:
  • Refinery, utilities or petrochemical maintenance engineering experience
  • Experience in piping, heat exchanger, tank or pressure vessel design
  • Experience with the specification, evaluation and approval of mechanical equipment.
  • Familiarity with the ASME I, ASME VIII, B31.1, B31.3, API 510, API 570 codes.
  • Proficient in the use of Codecalc and/or Caesar software
  • Experience leading multi-discipline teams
  • Candidates applying for these positions must be eligible to permanently work in Canada or presently have the required approvals to work permanently in Canada.
