Operator Trainee
Description:
Our client in Fort McMurray is looking to fill the position of a process operator.
This position reports to the Shift Coordinator in the Operations group and is accountable to provide support for our Plant Operations.
The Process Operator will be required to troubleshoot control and equipment problems and make sound decisions based on operating guidelines and principles.
This position will contribute to the profitable operation of the plant and will be directly involved in unit inspections, incident investigations, standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
The Process Operator will display:
- High level of ownership for the quality of plant operation;
- Conscientious attitude
- Situational Awareness and a willingness to try new approaches.
- Can-Do Attitude of trying to make plant operate more safely and profitably
- Cooperative, constructive approach; respectful of others and possessing interpersonal skills to interact with others.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Must have a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate. With up to 5 years experience or more.
- Demonstrate a high technical competence; understanding of units and processes and the ability to operate complex process control loops.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Identification rectification of unsafe work practices
- Rotational shift working 6/6
