We are currently looking for dedicated, energetic, outgoing and detail oriented candidates for opportunities as Certified Magnetic Partical Examination Level II Technicians.
Essential Job Functions
To perform surface crack testing in the form of liquid penetrant examination of ferrous materials. Examination will be carried out using either the AC Yoke method or by DC probes.
Ensure that the Company technical procedure MT-0014 (general procedure for liquid penetrant examination) is read and understood. A register will be signed to acknowledge that you have read and understood this technical procedure and that you will work according to it.
During examination of a part you will detect, measure, mark out and record all relevant indications. These indications shall be reported on a magnetic particle examination form. The acceptance/rejection criteria shall be in accordance with the client designated acceptance criteria.
Minimum Requirements
- Certification to CGSB MT Level II E or if approved by the client SNT Level II.
- Good working knowledge of ASME V and Acuren SNT NDT procedures. An orientation to the Company’s specific procedures will be conducted for all new hires.
- Familiarity with codes of construction including but not limited to ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, CSA W59, ASME VIII, ASME I, and CSA Z662.
