HRIS Advisor
We are the largest Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management organization in Canada, with offices across Canada and the world. The Chemical and Petroleum's Calgary office is looking for an experienced HRIS Advisor to join their team.
The HRIS Advisor is accountable for ensuring integrity of data as it relates to compensation, benefits, HRIS record keeping, reporting and data analysis. The HRIS Advisor is also responsible for ensuring data is updated and maintained accurately and for providing general support to the Human Resources Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
- Process and load all changes to HRIS i.e. new hires, transfers, terminations, merit details and other employee record maintenance ensuring integrity and consistency of the data and maximizing the usage of the system
- Generate and deliver timely, accurate and informative HR statistical reports to various stakeholders related but not limited to headcount management, turnover, leaves of absences (disability, vacation balance/liability, pregnancy/parental, personal), and other ad hoc reports as needed
- Ensure all data entry is accurate entered by the payroll deadline dates
- Audit the HRIS system to ensure accurate data integrity
- Generate the date and compile the monthly HR Scorecard
- Budget tracking and reporting
- Provide assistance to employees with benefit changes or payroll problems.
Key Requirements:
- Completion of a relevant university/college program; and post-graduate HR certificate, CHRP an asset
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS skills
- Demonstrated keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven analytical ability, sound judgment, independent and creative thinking
- Effective planning, multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Experience handling matters of a confidential nature
- Demonstrated good judgment and ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Work collaboratively as a team member within the HR department to promote HR best practice environment that encourages continuous improvement, innovation and learning
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
- High level of enthusiasm and energy, responsiveness to external drivers and internal client issues
