Instrumentation Technician
We are currently recruiting Journeyman and Apprentice Instrumentation Technicians to work in Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the site supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will be responsible to meet a multitude of project objectives including, but not limited to:
- Working safely.
- Complying with Westwood and customer safety policies and other general rules.
- Performing high quality installations.
- Complying with applicable legislation.
- Adhering to Westwood and customer QA/QC standards.
- Working efficiently to meet project schedules.
- Work with other crew members as a team.
- Listen to and follow directions from supervision and management.
- Communicate any issues or concerns in a timely fashion to direct supervision.
- Attend and be punctual for all shifts.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated, self motivated, flexible team member with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, have excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills as well as the ability to commit to project locations for long term or short term contracts. Preference will be given to candidates with dual trades certification or a technical diploma in addition to trade qualifications. Experience in the oil and gas and other industrial settings is a definite asset.
