Construction Superintendent
A major oil and gas company seeks a Construction Superintendent to be based in Fort McMurray, Canada.
The Construction Coordinator reports to the Construction Manager and assists in the administration and management of Construction projects.
Each silo is estimated in the range of 1 Billion CAD.
This position has direct influence over construction decisions, construction management and execution decisions.
Accountabilities:
•Ensures that silo administrative systems and reporting requirements are followed and maintained;
•Follow departmental policies and procedures;
•Assist in the pre-contract and pre-construction phases of projects to ensure inclusions of construction requirements;
•Assist in monitoring projects to ensure compliance with client policies, procedures and guidelines;
•Assist in the co-ordination of construction requirements;
•Act as liaison between field construction management teams, Project Management / Engineering teams and Procurement / Contracts as required;
•Assist in co-ordination of interfaces between construction Silo projects as necessary;
•Act as business alternate for Silos’ Construction Manager as necessary;
•Provides active role in client team.
Capability Requirements:
Specific Functional/Technical Skills Journeyman level Craft Certificate OR Graduate of 2-year Civil, Mechanical or Technical program
OR CCA Gold Seal Certificate as Superintendent;
10 - 15 years of experience with the above requested qualification;
Strong understanding of Construction management Local Canadian required.
