Pipefitter (Journeyman)
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Shift, Day, Night
Salary: To be negotiated, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (15 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
- Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Steamfitter - Pipefitter Trade Certification, Steamfitter - Pipefitter Red Seal Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS, Driver's License
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English, Not applicable
- Major Work Area: Construction, Maintenance
- Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial
- Area of Steamfitting and Pipefitting Specialization: Chemical/petrochemical systems
- Pipefitting / Steamfitting Testing Methods: Visual, Hydrostatic
- Type of Piping: Black carbon or steel, Stainless steel
- Specific Skills: Determine layout requirements, Weld, braze, cement or solder pipes and joints, Remove and replace defective components
- Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Instruct apprentices
- Security and Safety: Drug test
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Tight deadlines, Physically demanding
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
- Work Location Information: Various locations
