Safety Officer - Construction
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: To be negotiated, Bonus, Other Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (3 vacancies)
Skill Requirements:
- Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Certification by a provincial or territorial association
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
- Type of Inspection: Industrial construction
- Specific Skills: Inspect construction of building and engineering construction, Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes, Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained
- Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer
- Work Location Information: Remote location
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail
- Essential Skills: Document use, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory
- Other Information: Advise, assist, and monitor all OH&S practices in accordance with legislative and corporate standards. Must have be CSO certified and be open to working on site in a fly in / fly out rotation.
