Manager, Financial Systems
Position Summary
The Manager, Financial Systems, reporting to the Controller, Horizon is accountable for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the interfaces and software which deliver financial and key performance indicators for Horizon operations. A key responsibility will be to  provide a strong customer service focus, while maintaining a proactive and professional interface between users and system owners particularly with the IT and Enterprise 1 (JDE ERP) support groups.
 
Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • managing and directing services of the department;
  • managing the operating and capital budgets 
  • assuring development and maintenance of essential software to support needs of the Horizon financial group
  • lead integration opportunities between software’s and databases throughout the company in support of Horizon needs
  • track all current and future application projects throughout CNRL so as to recognize potential synergies which could benefit Horizon finance and performance groups and CNRL as a whole
 
Employment Requirements: 
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant managerial experience, demonstrating proven technical and long-range planning skills.
  • ability to communicate both orally and in writing, along with an appropriate degree in Information Technology or Business Administration focusing on technology and information transfer is preferred
  • a desire to work closely with staff and peers towards a common goal of contributing to the effectiveness of our work through technology.
  • direct experience with Hyperion or Essbase and ERP systems is a definite asset
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and time management skills are also required.
