Instructional Integrative Position
Full time continuous position beginning Aug 15, 2008
Salary: $82,092 plus 10 weeks at a contracted industry rate

As a Portage College employee you would be responsible for developing and instructing 1st and 2nd Class Power Engineering curriculum. This position will involve travel to other Portage College campuses and industry sites.
As a StatoilHydro contract employee you will be responsible for assisting the Leismer SAGD Demonstration Project's operations and maintenance departments. Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, you will provide input and support to site specific training programs, safety and environmental initiatives, on-going facility projects and plant maintenance. This position may require trips to various equipment suppliers, fabrication shops, engineering firms and StatoilHydro's head office in Calgary.

This position will require flexibility in the working arrangements between Portage College and StatoilHydro.
Qualifications:
- Alberta First Class Power Engineering Certificate plus several years of field experience. Other equivalencies may be considered.
- Experience in instructing or tutoring adults would be considered an asset.
- Must have a working knowledge of ABSA, ERCB and AENV directives and regulations.
- Must be familiar with Alberta WH&S regulations.
- Candidate must have sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive travel is involved
