Project Controls Manager

Shell Canada is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager based in Calgary with travel required to Fort McMurray.
Responsibilities:
- To manage the project controls activities of the AOSP Expansion 2&3 Upstream Growth Project, by providing cost estimating/control, schedule planning/control, construction indirects management.
- Interface with supply chain management, logistics, contract administration.
- Ensuring that the Expansion 2&3 Project is FID’d in accordance with agreed project governance systems, and then executed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the preparation of the Owner Estimates and Project Management schedules in support of FID.
- Effectively manage project controls functions and project planning towards ensuring the Project Management Team can deliver on budget and to schedule.
- Manage project cost & schedule forecast to provide a predictable project results
- Manage change management for the project and effectively address changes to mitigate them
- Develop, prepare and implement consistent monthly formal project progress reports for corporate management and owners dissemination. Develop and maintain minimum contractual reporting requirements.
- Support the contract services, supply chain (procurement & logistics)
- Support risk management mitigation plans
Requirements:
- Professional qualifications preferably in Engineering and/or in Business Administration (at least BSc or equivalent).
- An equivalent of 15 years experience in the international Oil and Gas industry of which at least 10 years field experience in project controls, cost control and estimating.
- Other Certifications:
- Hands on experience on Primavera Project Planner
- PertMaster risk analysis experience is preferred
- PRISM – Cost system experience is a plus
- PMP and/or AACE certification would be a plus
- Functional Competencies:
- Project Controls of large (EPCM Contract) type Projects
- Change Management
- Planning & Scheduling
- Cost & Progress Management
- Field construction related experience
- Estimating of Mega Projects
- Work Face Planning (is a plus)
