Tool Crib Attendant

Albian Sands is a part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP). The AOSP is a joint venture among Shell Canada Limited (60 %), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Marathon Oil Sands L.P (20%). The AOSP consists of the Muskeg River Mine north of Fort McMurray, the Scotford Upgrader near Edmonton and all supporting facilities such as pipelines and a cogeneration plant. As majority owner, Shell is the overall project administrator as well as operator of the Scotford Upgrader. Albian Sands Energy Inc., a company created by the joint venture, operates the Muskeg River Mine. As majority owner, Shell is responsible for the staffing and recruitment of Albian Sands.
Albian Sands is currently looking for a Tool Crib Attendant!
Responsibilities:
- Delivering and issuing of consumables and tools.
- Consistent prioritization of tool repair issues.
- Operating tools to diagnose defects.
- Inspecting tools to diagnose defects, damage and excessive wear.
- Making sure all tool Certifications are up to date.
- Dispensing and returning of tools.
- Ordering of new and replacing lost, worn and broken tools.
- Ensuring all tools issued are in a safe and in operating condition.
- Performing monthly inventory and weekly usage reports.
- Bar coding of tools and employees.
- Issuing, stocking and cleaning of winter wear.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in tool cribs.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of PC Tool Crib software.
- Good knowledge of different types of tools.
- Good organizational and leadership skills.
- Self starter with the ability to work on his or her own.
- Well developed communication skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible team environment as a contributing and essential team player.
