Cost Engineer, Scotford

Shell Canada is currently seeking a Cost Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure / verify / provide timely the accurate information to commitment & incurred cost for the Monthly reports
- Provide counter estimates for specific trends, contract- or scope changes.
- Responsible for providing timely trend information, trend verification and change control management.
- Conduct periodic audits / analysis on EPCM and Works contractor’s cost performance / progress and Value of Work Done.
- Reconcile the cash call / forecast for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Coordination of reporting interfaces with Business Controls, Finance.
- Develop / maintain project controls procedures (i.e., trends, cost control, etc.).
- Responsible for weekly/monthly progress reports.
- Team player
- Good Communication skills
- Able to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexible, team player and driven to meet or excel performance requirements.
- Able to provide high-level presentations to senior project team.
Requirements:
- The incumbent need to have a technical engineering degree and 10 years experience in Oil and Gas industry in cost and schedule control
- Need practical understanding of all phases of a project.
- Experience in owners team working with EPC contractor
- Experience in multi-billion dollar projects.
- Participate in progress review meetings and able to provide high-level presentations to senior project team.
- Able to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexible, team player and driven to meet or excel performance requirements.
- Hands on tools required.
- Cost management / commitment control
- Budget control and forecast
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, planning and databases.
