Project Controls Manager

Shell Canada is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure and verify timely, adequate and accurate Project Cost- and Progress Management Information and analyze variances
- Administer and Manage the EPCM contract which is owned by Project Manager
- Provide timely trend information, trend verification and change control management
- Participate in the project cost- and schedule risk assessment. Provide variance analysis of critical plans and mitigation proposals.
- Conduct periodic audits / analysis on EPCM and Works contractor’s cost performance, progress and Value of Work Done.
- Reconcile the commitments, cash call and forecast for accuracy and reasonableness.
- Coordination of reporting interfaces with Business Controls and Finance. Ensure weekly and monthly progress reports.

- Good Communication skills
- Able to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexible, team player and driven to meet or excel performance requirements.
- Able to provide high-level presentations to senior project team
Requirements:
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer.
- The incumbent need to have a technical engineering degree and 10 to 15 years experience in Oil and Gas industry in project controls
- Need practical understanding of all phases of a project.
- Experience in owners team working with EPC contractor
- Experience in multi-billion dollar projects.
- Cost management / commitment control
- Budget control and forecast
- Working knowledge on Cost- and Schedule Risk Analysis
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, planning and databases
