Staff Supply Chain Representative - Wells

Shell Canada is currently seeking a Staff Supply Chain Representative - Wells
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Development of supply chain strategies and the acquisition of third party equipment and services in support of Shell’s upstream Canada Wells Unconventional Oil projects working in partnership with the technical and operational stakeholders to obtain the best overall value for the business through the effective and efficient application of innovative and “Lean Supply Chain Principles” in the Supply Chain.
  • Analyze and understand business drivers, supply chains and market sectors, with particular attention to assembly line processes and Lean manufacturing techniques. Develop innovative supply chain and contract strategies with the technical and operational stakeholders.  
  • Lead the development of integrated supply chain strategies in alignment with business and Supply Chain Management (SCM) objectives to ensure security of supply and supply chain optimization for the aggressive execution of these projects. This assignment will be in support of Unconventional Wells, which is projecting over 42,000 wells to be drilled at a cost of $9.5B over the life of the projected work.
  • Manage sourcing process, including negotiations, and contract execution
  • Ensure appropriate coordination of supply chain strategies across the Exploration & Production Western (EPW) Region, across other Business Sectors and globally.  Additionally, ensure the proper resources are employed to review all SCM practices internally and externally.
  • Provide commercial expertise for the development and implementation of Supply Chain strategies to include market analysis (Internal and external), cost modeling, contracting strategy and contract management involving both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Manage contract and contractor performance through the BPR process and assess the effectiveness of contract/supply chain strategies.
  • Identify, develop and implement lean supply chain improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with supply chain processes, procedures, and business controls (including Shell Group Business Principles and Export Controls).
  • Ensure category strategies are aligned with HSE and Sustainable Development objectives   
 
Requirements:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer.
  • Approximately 10+ years SCM or related experience
  • Advanced Knowledge of Exploration & Production (EP) business
  • Advanced Knowledge of HSE Management Systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Skilled in developing Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy, managing competitive acquisition process, and managing supplier relationships
  • Previous direct SCM Capital Project experience, both in development of project contracting strategies and/or project contract execution and management is a strong advantage
